No Wire Hangers

Co-curated by Dean Sidaway and Christina Thurston. 

Composed of diverse makers No Wire Hangers provides an accessible and safe space for its often queer and female members. Our intention is to show the potential power that can be harnessed through collaboration and finding community through intersectionality. The pieces in the exhibition were presented without the traditional parameters of a fashion installation; moving beyond the figure of the mannequin, alternative display mechanisms were determined to display the work.
